Ear Infections

Ear infections are diseases that are usually seen in the middle ear and have a high incidence in children under the age of five. Although it occurs as a result of changes in the pressure in the middle ear, these changes can be caused by upper respiratory tract diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, or allergen substances taken into the body. Symptoms such as ear pain, insomnia, an annoying sound in the ear, and the desire to play with the ear are among the symptoms of ear infections. It is of great importance to pay attention to such symptoms as increased inflammation in the ear can damage the eardrum. Advanced infections can permanently damage the eardrum and cause serious consequences such as hearing loss.

Treatment of Ear Infections

The type of treatment applied varies depending on the degree to which ear infections are detected and the frequency of recurrence. Most of the time, with the usefulness of drug treatment methods, treatment can be completed with close physician follow-up and the use of necessary drugs. However, surgical interventions can be used in cases where ear infections are severe or if they are repeated frequently. Removal of inflammation by making a small scratch on the eardrum with the paracentesis process and ear tube insertion together with adenoid surgery is among the surgical methods that are frequently performed. These surgical operations are surgical operations with a very low-risk rate.
